For the first time in its 20 year history, the CSCC is running a 24 Hours event in the style of the Classic 24 Le Mans and Classic 24h Daytona. The Ford Ka driven by James Rogerson and grandson Riley Salyer qualified 27th and finished 19th with no major issues except rear light bulb taht failed. Riley managed an excellent 1:58 while James' best was a 2:03 as compared to my previous 2:00 at the same track
Castle Donington

The Aston Martin DB7 was at the Donington GP circuit. Qualifying was a case of gettng used to the car after aover a year, and making sure the new electrical system worked. While times improved the brakes were causeing major issues since the pads have no feel of initial bite making braking a cross fingers event. In the race the starter motor jammed on just as entering the pits for a routine pit stop, and it turned out the sterring rack was causing the starter to short.
