Oulton Park

28 March 2016

Rain, rain and more rain - except the end of the day when the sun came out and everyone was caught with rain tyres on a dry track. With a practise , a qualifying, and two races it was a busy Easter Monday. Everytime the Monoposto group  (F3, 2000 and Classic) went to grid the rain started, and when we finished it stopped. Despite lots of cars spinning and going of track there were no red flags or safety car sessions. Despite the weather a 3rd and 2nd in the Classic class was a great opener for the season.

Silverstone (National)

27 August 2016

Rain, rain, more rain, is the best way to summarize racing the Fun Cup Diesel. Qualifying  was wet but the track partially dried allowing my co-driver James Rogerson to get used to the Silverstone National circuit. The draw put us on the 3rd row, however as I started the right hand windscreen wiper failed. Being a clockwise track this meant that all the corners were obscured in the rain. After a long pit stop (attempting to fix the problem) we started to regain some places on the track, when before the final stint the engine died. Attempts to fix the issue were not successful so we DNF’d. Despite this a great time was had by all.
