The Lakes Rally

11-13 September 2026

The Cygnet rand the 2 day Lakes Route. Based in Penrith the first day featured both Hardknott Pass and Wynose Pass. The former including 30% gradients and ranks as one of the steepest roads in England. The Cygnet made it upeven with the wet roads and rain. The day ended with a party event (with real ale and dancing to live music) at the Penrith Cricket Club.  The second day was no less challanging including the B6270 that climbs through Swaledale, perhaps the most scenic of the Yorkshire Dales, at 1700 ft. The funny part of the Rally is that we only passed one lake the whole trip.
